Instructions

1. To begin: Click ‘+New’ to add a post

There is also the option of clicking on the tack in the sidebar (on the left) and choosing the new post option.

2. Add your title to the title box

3. Start typing. You’ll want to choose ‘paragraph’ for body text. You also have an option of headers if you want to introduce titles and subtitles.

4. You also have the option to cut and paste. But be careful, formatting can go wonky so you’ll want to preview the post and fix as needed.

5. In the publish box, you have the opportunity to preview your post, save your draft, and publish the post.

6. But before you publish, choose your categories. Click on ‘Images and Impact’ and ‘FM4110 Post’ and then choose the appropriate category for the assessment (resource, case study, reflection). You are always welcome to add discoveries for ‘In the Media’

7. Also before you hit publish, add your tags. What are the key words that apply? What would help a person wanting to know about the topic find it in a search? You can choose from existing tags and add your own. (Click on ‘Choose from the Most Used Tags’ to see the options.)

8. You’ll want to choose a ‘featured image’ for your post. This option is at the bottom with ‘set featured image’. You can choose from the media library and/or upload your own choice to the library.

9. Now publish and revel in your contribution to public discourse on the topic of images and impact!

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Did you lose the post? Don’t worry. Click on the posts tack and chose all posts. A list of posts including drafts should pop up. Choose yours to edit.

Did you publish before you were done? No worries. Click on the posts tack and chose all posts. A list of posts including drafts should pop up. Additionally, when you see your posts, you should see an edit option next to the title. This takes you back to the editing dashboard with an option to ‘update’.
