Resource: The Impact Field Guide & Toolkit.
Formed in 2005 DocSociety is an organisation dedicated to supporting documentaries and connecting them to audiences around the world. This mission is supported by a powerful belief in the capacity of documentary to engage, connect, and transform audiences and communities– what they call the ‘impact of art and the art of impact’. To enable this mission, DocSociety builds filmmaker networks and forge partnerships to share information and develop new ways of producing impact and growing audiences. One platform for sharing is The Impact Field Guide & Toolkit a website of tools and guides to making a film generate impact. These include a guide to impact as phenomenon, a guide for building an impact plan, tools for evaulating impact. and case studies of other films’ impact campaigns.
